ShoreTel And Windstream Announce Expanded Distribution Agreement

North American communications service provider launches ShoreTel Unified Communications Solution, ShoreTel Contact Center and ShoreTel Mobility

ShoreTel® (NASDAQ: SHOR), the leading provider of IP phone systems with fully integrated unified communications (UC) and contact center capabilities, today announced an expanded distribution agreement with Windstream (NASDAQ:WIN). The communications and technology solutions provider, with operations across the United States and the District of Columbia, is now able to offer its business customers ShoreTel’s complete solution set, including ShoreTel Unified Communications, ShoreTel Contact Center and ShoreTel Mobility.

After a six-month market trial in Atlanta, Ga.; Greenville, S.C.; Orlando, Fla.; Kansas City, Mo.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Tulsa, Okla., Windstream is expanding the offering of ShoreTel solutions to business customers across Windstream’s 29-state footprint. This expansion of ShoreTel is in line with Windstream’s goal to provide advanced technology solutions to businesses of all sizes.

“This expanded agreement with ShoreTel allows us to utilize the sales and technical experience gained in our trial markets to offer an expanded Unified Communications solution to customers all across our footprint,” said Don Perkins, Windstream vice president of business marketing. “Service and delivery remain top of mind to Windstream, so we are excited to provide a solution known for delivering an outstanding experience with each and every communication.”

ShoreTel’s brilliantly simple solutions make it easy for partners like Windstream to expand their portfolio and serve businesses of any size. The ShoreTel Contact Center enables companies to better serve their customers, who expect continuously high levels of service. Built on the highly reliable voice capabilities of the ShoreTel UC system, ShoreTel’s Contact Center solution easily connects internal and external customers to the right agent at the right time.  This results in lower costs that can help transform a contact center into a revenue center. The newest addition to the ShoreTel portfolio, ShoreTel’s Mobility solution, extends the full power of an enterprise communication system to a mobile device, setting users free to communicate from any location by enabling access to any cellular or Wi-Fi network, simply and cost effectively. Additionally, not only is ShoreTel Mobility an inherent component of the ShoreTel Unified Communications system, but it also easily integrates with other IP-PBX systems, including those from Cisco, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, and UC systems such as Microsoft OCS.

“ShoreTel is committed to helping customers succeed by offering comprehensive communications solutions that eliminate complexity and help reduce costs; partnering with Windstream reinforces this business promise,” said Mark Arman, vice president of business development for ShoreTel. “Windstream shares this goal, and together we are looking forward to delivering on that vision with product and service excellence, as we continue to rapidly grow with net new markets and customers.”
